Hi! Thanks so much for dropping in. A certain someone took it a bit literally yesterday, hence the hole in our kitchen ceiling.
We unofficially began ripping the kitchen out when Sean's goggles were blinded by flying insulation and he took a mis-step off the beams and through the dry wall. Thankfully he is A-OK, and while Wren and I weren't here at the time (thank the lord he wasn't injured and alone!!!) we have been sweeping and vaccuuming insulation dust non-stop. Well almost... we have also been doing our fall wardrobe shopping and some sewing, which I will probably share this week as well~
And so the renos continue... and the plot thickens... and all the jazz. Just give me a beautiful closet already!
We have also been making some minor adjustments to the laundry room.
You might recall that this lovely sideboard was making herself useful in there:
But she has gone on to bigger and better things as a client's dining room buffet so we decided to opt for some seating this time around.

LOL, my hubs stepped through the kitchen ceiling too, only for some reason he did it on purpose and thought it would be strong enough, LOL. MEN!! Can't wait to see your new closet!! And I love the chairs, you need a place to take off your shoes!
I am so excited to see it all done! Thank God he is ok!
Have a pretty day!
Kristin
i cant believe how good your hubby seems to be at avoiding injury in these crazy situations! :)
love the laundry room, love the chairs, been loving all of your recent posts.
whats the update on the dining room. miss impatient over here (yours truly) wants to see more! :)
Good to hear your husband is okay! I love the chairs they are just perfect in the space...BTW great styling of the pics!!
Sorry about the ceiling, but your new closet will be totally worth it. Can't wait to see how it turns out. Those are pretty chairs. Love & blessings from NC!
OH! I am glad to hear your husband is ok! The laundry room looks great with the new chairs. Can't wait to see the kitchen.
oh my gosh! how scary to fall through the ceiling! (but also a liiiiiittle funny! :) ) good luck with all the renos!
My kitchen ceiling looks the same way right now for the very same reason. I wanted to redo the recessed lighting in the kitchen, so the hole in the ceiling is helping move that project along. I am seriously considering putting beadboard up on my kitchen ceiling as well.
that is scary about him falling through the ceiling. so glad he was ok.
i laugh at your ballet shoes always being so well placed in the pictures (both the sideboard and chair laundry room shots). too cute.
Glad your husband is ok! Can't wait to see what you do with your kitchen - I am a kitchen designer and love to see what others do! I love the paint color in your laundry room!
I love the look of the three chairs! I vote for keeping them there!
poor sean! I guess he just really wants the skylight in there and is trying to give you a big hint!
my grandpa did that as well, but he didn't fall all the way through, just his legs.
Glad he's ok. My hubby went through the ceiling a few years ago too! It happened just a couple weeks after we'd moved into rental. I felt so bad. Luckily, he was trying to solve a leak during a snow storm so he had good motives.
He is soooo fortunate he did not hurt himself! I have a daughter with a head injury and he is so lucky he did not hit his head!
The big guy was looking out for him because he could have been so injured!!!
WOW.
oh my gosh! Straight through the ceiling!? I'm glad he's okay and you can laugh about it now.
I'm lovin' the Goldilocks chairs too!
I think I have said this every day since I found your blog, but I just LOVE it! I'm glad everyone is O.K., and those chairs are just darling.
my dad fell through the ceiling when i was a kid too! there were no lasting effects ;)
i love the chairs too! do you have any idea of the color of them because that is exactly what I am looking for my room!
so glad your hubs is not hurt...that is crazy but hey way to help with demo!
