For the last couple of days little baby has decided that she is just not interested in doing the afternoon nap thing. She happily goes down in the morning, and again at midday, but around 4 or 5 in the afternoon she fights it! (as witnessed in the above photo). We struggle for about 20 minutes until she gives in.

By the time she finally goes down my first reaction is "Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh". A little quiet time. I think of all the things I can finish (that load of laundry, the dishes, sweeping, the list goes on...).

But about 10 minutes of silence later I realize that it is too quiet. I already feel excited to see her little smiles again and have to fight the urge to go in and wake her up! But I know she needs that sleep so I enjoy my time while I can, all the while looking forward to play time.

Your blessed she will take a nap, my twins stopped napping before they turned 2! AHH! Made for a long day, but I put them to bed at 7:30. They are ready by then.

Great pic of you.

LOL! you look great! And i am envious, since i look the complete bag of cr*p...Isabel started to think that it'll be fun to cry in her sleep every few hours at night these days and won't stop till we pick her up and rock her.....i have the dark circles to prove it...

I'm the same way. But Cam only naps for about 20 minutes at a time, so I don't get a lot of time to do stuff around the house, let alone time for myself!

Holly, first, your pictures in this post are just darling. That last one is magazine/model worthy! Seriously, you look amazing!

On a side note, how do you accomplish this braid sweep around your head? Where do you start and is it hard? I've been a french braider all my life and I've seen this look a lot lately, but haven't tried to tackle it yet. Advise?

My kids and I went to Houston a few weeks ago and left my hubby at home..due to work...well he said the same thing! its to quiet with yall being gone, I cant sleep! I was like yeah RIGHT! And the next weekend I woke up to no one being home but me! But I woke up because it was TO QUIET! I guess I can only sleep with the sounds of "NOOOO" "STOP" "GIVE ME MY" "DADDDDDY"(daughter) "DAD"(son) "IM GOING TO TELL" "MOM"(son) "MAMA"(daughter)..and finally "BABY, BABY, BABY....touching me..."..HUSBAND!

I have to second, third, and fourth all the ladies saying how lovely you look! And your hair style is very cool! A nice twist on a typical pony tail or bun.

Nap time is great!! :O) Your hair looks so cute! I will have to try that! A braid tutorial would be a great idea! Maybe if you have time one day during one of Wren's naps :O) Also, the sideways picture of you is stunning!!
