Deceptively Delicious

So I have had this cook book sitting in our pantry and on my "To Try" list for quite some time now. There is a bit of prep involved in getting all the purees ready and waiting ahead of time so you don't have to spend hours over the stove for a bowl of pasta or a couple chicken nuggets. I think I finally have our schedule worked out well enough to know when I have a few hours each week to devote to pureeing so that throughout the week we can whip up delicious and healthy meals in only minutes. Our first meals this week will be "pita pizzas", Mozza sticks, chocolate cupcakes, and lasagna. I hope that they veggies really are as deceptively unnoticeable as the book claims!
Review to come in the next few days~

I have heard about this cook book for a couple years now but haven't bought it yet. I do not like vegies - would need to disguise them! Looking forward to your update on how you like the recipes!

I have this cook book on my shelf too! Can't wait to see your reviews, because I too have yet to fix anything. Great concept though.

My hubs and I make the mac n' cheese with garbanzo beans all the time, and our 15-month-old LOVES it. It's delicious! Better than any other mac n' cheese I've had.

Can't wait to hear how this goes.
And aren't you and Wren taking a salsa class? How is that going?

Thanks for asking Leslie~ We are actually off to leave in the next couple of minutes for our second class. IT IS AWESOME!!!

I'm going to have to check this out! Let us know how it goes... because sadly, I'm like most kids in that I don't love veggies and usually have to have them disguised in my my meals.

I was just thinking about this book over the weekend! I have three kids and I'm so sick of them turning their noses up at everything. Time to get sneaky about it, I guess. Cheers!

Bought this book yesterday and am dying to hear a real mom's take on putting it to practice-- before I do! HA!
