Master Bedroom Reno

This room was probably our cheapest remodel (besides the temporary kitchen). After we moved in we knew that we had a lot of demolition to do so I basically kept everything from our first house in the basement to reduce clean up and rearranging. Everything in this room besides the headboard (a cheap and easy do-it-yourself project we did in about 3 hours, for instructions click here) and the shelves we used in lieu of bedside tables ($21 per shelf) are from what we refer to as my basement "store".

Gorgeous drapes, huh?

As with every other room in the house, we went with espresso stained birch hardwood floors in here. The wall color is seed pearl by Pratt & Lambert, but I am considering painting the wall behind the bed a charcoal gray (Sean has yet to be convinced...).

Besides the 36 inch pillows in the very back all the bedding is from Simply Shabby Chic at Target.

So funny- I actually just ordered the duvet of the Simply Shabby Chic bedding. I have been wanting a white duvet for our guest bed and had a Target gift card that needed spending. :0) I know now it will look awesome!
==Where did you get the pretty neutral rug? I am in GREAT need of rugs...90% of our home is tile.

Thanks so much Jess! You probably already guessed it: Ikea LOL. It is a steal at $39!!!

I have been meaning to get back to you regarding the Quinny, we LOVE it! It is amazingly easy to transport, set up, and drives like a dream. But I am sure your stroller will be awesome!

Your room reminds me of my cousin's place. It was a house from the early 1900's with white walls, light fabrics, and those amazing dark floors. I loved sleeping over at her place. Your room looks so peaceful, I love it!

It is GORG!! I love the Rachel Ashwell lines. It's all so pretty. I have a beautiful floral vintage looking bedspread for my daughter's bed. And some pretty striped panels in lieu of doors on my daughter's closet. SO pretty.

Can I ask where you get your huge floor mirrors? My aunt has a few as well. Her style is much like yours, and both of your houses look like a page from Pottery Barn. I'm in love. :)

Just stumbled upon your site...BEAUTIFUL! It seems we have VERY similar tastes (we have the same crib bumper for our sweet girl and MS poms-oh, and the bedside lamps in master bedroom). I LOVE the toss pillows on the chair in your room. Would you mind sharing the source?

GORGEOUS - so crisp and bright!!

I just found your blog via Copy Cat Chic (I think!).....love it! We spruced up our bedroom this weekend and had wood floors installed - it looks great. I just finished taking a few pictures and laughed when I saw this photo because we have a dog bed on the right side of our bed just like you. The pups have to be comfortable too!

So glad I found your blog and can't wait to read more - I added you to my favorites lists. :)

I just stumbled upon your blog and love it!! Can you tell me where you found the chandelier? Also, is there a down comforter you recommend that fills the duvet so nice and full. I just got one and it looks so lumpy.

Thanks

Hi there-
I know I've been to your sight so many times but for some reason I didn't look at all your transformations. I just wanted to let you know I think I just spent the last 30 minutes browsing all of your rooms! You have so much talent and such a special eye for design.
Take care
Kristin
