November Candle of the Month

I can't believe how fast this whole year, but specifically this Fall, has gone by. I am happy because we have not yet seen any snow, and the temperatures have been very mild considering we're wayyyy up here in Canada! We are used to often seeing our first snow fall around Halloween, sometimes it stays other times it melts within a day or two. But so far we are still enjoying fall.

For me November brings the excitement of pumpkin spice lattes and getting in my pre-holiday state of mind. I actually find November to be one of my favorite months because it has all the excitement before the holidays without the chaos of busy malls and last minute shopping. I am hoping to avoid the last minute shopping frenzy this year all together thanks to months of slowly collecting treasures that bring certain family members to mind. Plus I like the idea of giving small treasure chests of meaningful, thoughtful gifts that are one of a kind instead of mass produced items. To keep one step ahead this year Wren and I have been busy crafting special gift boxes that we will share next week~

One of the items that will be placed into more than a few of our treasure chests, despite the fact that it is mass produced, are these candles. You probably remember my rave about them in last months Candle of the Month post, and many of you had questions about where to purchase, so I thought I would dedicate another post to them so nobody misses the response hidden in the comments.

It is called Kitchen Clean and the candle is intended to purify the air after cooking, neutralizing any odors that come with garlic-y dinners! They come in a variety of scents but my favorites are Sea Salt Jasmine and this months scent: Green Tea and Honey. It is a really lovely Honey scent that has just a twist of Tea to it (as the name makes obvious LOL).

Sadly, I have NO IDEA where to tell anyone South of the border to find one. But if you are in Canada they are found at Real Canadian Superstore at the bargain basement price of $5!! If anyone in the US scouts one please share so we can let all our American friends in on the fun. And if I see them there again next week I think I will pick up a few and offer them to any American readers if they just want to pay for shipping costs in addition to the $5 price tag.

Do you usually have a candle burning in the kitchen too? If so, share your brands and scent so I can track down something new for next month!

I went to Superstore and got the Sea Salt--it is wonderful. Thanks for the recommendation.

I googled them, and couldn't find anything. How much do you think it would cost to ship? I would definitely pay you for a couple! You are so sweet to offer! I'm on Long Island in New York.

I live in Kentucky so I don't think I could find one of these. :( I just fell in love with your light fixture! Do you think they have those in the states?

OOOOOH French Lover, I will definitely be checking that out! I love Burberry parfumes so I am sure that is a hit.

I am so glad you found one too Alana!

Wylie, I will check with the post office tomorrow when I am there to get an idea! I think the biggest concern is making sure they don't break so the package might be bigger with bubble wrap around the candles LOL.

Crystal, I think they do! It comes from Restoration Hardware~

This candle sounds great! I always have some candles around to get rid of cooked salmon smell... I live in France and I buy the candles of Durance, they smell divine and are not too pricey! Have you ever heard of them in Canada?
here's their website if you're interested... http://www.durance.fr
:) Have a nice end of the week!

My fav candles are swan creek candles. They come in cute pieces of pottery that when candles burn out they say you can plant little herbs in...soo fun. They have birds, owls, etc. They are soy and burn to the bottom in tons of scents..I'm a candle person and they are by far my fav!!!

I don't have a need for one myself right now (though they do sound very cool), but what a super sweet blogger you are to offer people some all the way from Canada! I actually tried pretty hard to find some info on them online just to see if the manufacturer sold them elsewhere, too. But Wylie is right, there is NO info to be found anywhere, I even looked at the Superstore's website to see if they listed product info for the candles, but they doesn't seem to exist on their site. So unless you see a manufacturer's company name on the label somewhere, there's probably no knowing of alternate vendors unless stumbled upon elsewhere in person. Good luck to those in search. And thanks for another fun candle o' the month post :)

I could stare at your dreamy kitchen all day. I know you and your hubby worked super hard on it. I would love to buy one of the candles if you offer them. How thoughtful you are for your readers in the USA! ♥

i was so excited to find these in Superstore last night - and for $3 instead of $5 (i'm in BC) - but none of them smelled that great. I was really disappointed. I want cheap, good smelling candles!

Since Christmas is coming up...I have one to recommend. This candle can be used all winter long, not just Christmas. It can be found at the Bath & Body Works Stores here in the states. It can also be found online:http://www.bathandbodyworks.com/product/index.jsp?productId=12076060&cm_vc=200.
It's $19 (US dollars) online but the store has specials all the time (I got two of these for $20 last year). It's bascially tree scented. Clean and Fresh!
Blessings, browneyedgirlygirl

Just at Superstore this morning @5am. Crazy I know, but an empty store just for me is great. The kitchen candles are even cheaper now. Picked up 10 @ $2.44 each. Great hostess gifts for the Christmas season. Merry Christmas to all

I seriously want both of those candles, but I'm in The States, too... You would think they'd be online somewhere, but I cannot find them...

I found them on clearance at JoAnnes here in the states. I bought 2 of them and am going for more. Not only do they smell great, but they burn really clean. Anyway, hope you enjoy :)

Yep, found them at Joann's Fabric and Crafts, but no longer on clearance :( Teensy size mason jar is $4.99, standard mason jar is $7.99, and large jar is $12.99. But the Green Tea & Honey and the Sage & Peppercorn fragrances are phenomenal!

I found this scent at Home Goods in New Jersey; I've also seen them in their sister stores TJ Maxx & Marshall's.

Love these candles but prefer the Sage and Peppercorn. I have been getting them at the St. Petersburg Joanns Fabrics but they don't seem to have them right now.
