Shopping Haul Vlog

Hi Guys!!

THANK YOU soooo much to everyone who supported our run yesterday at the 2011 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation's Run for the Cure. Because of your generosity we raised $446. I am over the moon with that and we had so much fun doing the run. I will have photos of us, along with 10,000 other runners that turned out yesterday to raise a combined total of $30 million dollars up in the next few days along with our 2 donation giveaway winners.

I have been busy trying to film a short Vlog with our recent Halloween party finds along with some other purchases. As you can see I have 2 videos to share, Part 1 and Part 2, and when you watch Part 1 you can see why!

It is still a learning experience using my Bloggie HD camera (thank Hill's!) so it wasn't until I uploaded my videos that I realized I should've filmed them on a different angle and in a brighter room. So sorry if the videos are a little small. But they are in HD so feel free to open in a larger window!

Some close ups of the items we're chatting about:

Our Halloween party invites, thanks Martha @ Michael's!

Bargain basement, cute magnets ($1.50/3 @ michael's)

Urban Outfitters magnet board in my office.

Party supplies!!!

What do ya think? More Vlogs, less Vlogs?

Hope you had a lovely weekend!!

Great Vlogs Holly. It's always so interesting to hear someone speak, to hear their accent and see them in action! I enjoyed the mix of vlog and pictures of items so you can see details of what you're talking about.
And I agree with the sentiment regarding just going for it re entertaining. Life's too short to wait for that 'perfect' time.

Lol -- you are adorable!

love the vlogs.

and i'm planning on having a party for isabel this year too, but unfortunately, she waaaaaay into princesses (not disney princesses - we don't watch those, but just princesses in general) so it'll have to be somewhat poofy skirts and sparkles related.

Your vlogs are always really great! Usually I am anti-vlog because people tend to be...a little unnecessarily wordy, but I think you are great at keeping things flowing naturally. Great finds though! That cutlery is really awesome.

Why didn't you just find a treasure trove of loot! I can't wait to see what you do for Halloween and Ren's birthday party! The kitchen seems to be coming along, maybe for Christmas you'll be 'done'!

LOVE the Vlog - I also have a two year old little girl so can totally relate!!Love all the treasures - the cutlery was so cool and fun - the special touches are always in the details. So I am so on the same page in regards to the not waiting for things to be "finished" to celebrate with family and friends - going to try and follow your lead - keep the vlogs coming.

Before watching the videos I thought the cutlery was for your Halloween party too, which I thought was a little unexpected but totally cool, because yellow can work just as well with black for Halloween colors, especially with 'spooky' old antique silverware designs, but in a Halloween party color. So anyway, if you're not opposed to using the same silverware at 2 parties in a row, you might consider using them for the Halloween party too, because I think that would be really chic! Especially since you mentioned they're dishwasher safe and reusable.
And to answer your question, yes more vlogs would be great. So much fun to watch- especially when paired well with enough informative text and photos for when one might be somewhere less conducive to video watching. But this was a fun post, and do please show us all your fun Halloween party features when it's done; that drink station sounds great, and I'd love to see those wine labels up close, etc.! And I kinda can't wait to see what cool costumes your family will sport too. Happy October!

I really miss your blog from a year ago - White Berry, home renovations and decorating. I don't have the time nor the interest to watch a vlog. Please go back to doing what you did best. I find myself frequenting your blog less and less.
