A little taste of miracle

Wren and I performed a baking miracle yesterday. We shockingly mastered a batch of macarons.
Photobucket I mean, you are talking to the lady who has her dinners delivered with step by step instructions. The lady who has burnt water, wrecked countless batches of cookies, accidentally made butter while trying to whip cream... for the most part my meals are considered unedible.
Photobucket
but not these!!!
Photobucket It took a lot of patience. A lot of love.
Photobucket But they taste even more divine than they look! (I don' think I've ever said that!!!).
Photobucket I got the recipe here, but we made our own filling by pureeing raspberries into our buttercream icing. Then we had to quickly snap our photos at 11pm last night since we had a feeling they wouldn't last long!
Photobucket
I hope you are having a sweet day as well

They look fabulous! I love the little plate you have them on that looks like and egg carton. It's too adorable.

THANKS so much ladies!! I really think it was a one time thing LOL, next batch will probably taste horrible.

L, good eye! It actually is a little egg crate I found in a thrift store a few months ago. I keep meaning to use it in the fridge, but it only has 9 dimples so I have to wait til I use up at least 3 eggs and by then I forget.

I believe they also sell them at Anthro in various colors!

I love how you photographed them with rose petals :)

Good for you, Holly! They look so pretty and the raspberry filling sounds delicious. I will have to try that recipe. I've not been brave enough to venture into macaroon baking. Your macaroons look better than the ones at a bakery! You did a great job.

I'm so happy my recipe helped you bake these gorgeous macarons! I love making them and was hoping others were successful with my recipe as well. They've risen perfectly, they are delicate, the color is very soft and the filling looks luscious. It makes me want to make a batch right now! Congrats again and cheers :)
