Once a farm table, now a coffee table

I love how you guys always tell me I need to keep each piece! I would love to, but unfortunately I think that it would very quickly start piling up on top of each other. But every once in a looong while I do have a project set aside for the house that I intend to love forever, or at least a little while until someone talks me into letting them take it home LOL.

When I found this kitchen table I knew it was LOVE at first sight. Mainly because my grandmother has this exact table and since I was a baby I can remember nothing but wonderful memories around her table. But I really didn't need a kitchen table...

So I had my handy man, Sean, saw it down and reattach the top at the perfect height for a coffee table.

I love love love the casters. They will be great for pulling it up to the couch for game nights with family or friends.

I wanted a fresh, white table and if it gets a little beat up over time then I will just consider it as being authentically distressed.

I don't think this guy will be going anywhere, anytime soon.

Your new table looks so pretty! My grandma has this table as well. The nesting tables you recently showed are also terrific. It must be really hard to part with so many of the beauty's you create. Have a great day!

We always want you to keep them because they always look so GOOOD in your house! Though I must say it must be fun to have ever-changing decor.

Glad to see this one's got staying power - it looks awesome. Gotta love that it's on wheels!

Glad you're finally keeping one!

I have a very similar table sitting in my garage right now waiting to be redone. I had actually forgotten about it. The kicker is, I've been searching for the perfect table to turn into a coffee table! I'll have to have my own handyman check it out. :-)THANK YOU!

Love this. What a great idea for a dining table (every once in a while I see those at estate sales or salvation army but don't need a dining room table!)..I'm gonna stash it in my mind for the future. Thank you and you DEFINITELY need to keep it! :P

When I was young my mom did the same thing to their table and they still have it in the same family room, still on it's casters, serving as such a special and useful piece. I hope to steal it from her one day. Love the white. Definitely keep it.

holy moley spicy guacamole! that table is stunning!!!

and, i love that you left it white and will let it be authentically distressed. with a toddler in the house, it'll be beat to perfection in no time. ;)

i recently painted our bad condition coffee table a flat creamy white and it turned out beautiful. put a few coats of (water based) polyurethane over it and i hate hate hate the shiny look plus it drew attention to the knicks. and now, "orange-ish spots" are showing up for no apparent reason. so even before seeing this post i'd decided to sand it, repaint it, and leave it to be "authentically distressed". :) can't wait to see yours over time.
