Oooohhh...thats a tough one. I would get it home and get it in the room first just to be sure. Grey sounds fabulous, but maybe the dark legs would "ground" it a little more with your dark floors. Hmmmm.... ~mary~
Love the sofa and your blog. I vote grey too, since we all know you love it. I'm looking into getting a slipcover made for my sofa and also a wingback chair. What do you think a good price is?
Holly you have me so envious that you've found a lovely seamstress with great prices and fabulous talent!!! Oh how I wish I could find a seamstress to sew slipcovers for a few things without charging enough to make me bankrupt! ;) (Any recommendations on how to search for one?) Can't wait to see the sofa and all of your auction goodies. :)
I vote for grey- and I echo the previous question about price. I've made a few slipcovers myself, but I have a chair that I would like for someone else to tackle. I have no clue what to excpect! Any rules of thumb I can use to make sure I'm getting a good deal? Arielle
Pricing really depends on what fabric you choose. For this cover I went with a bit pricier fabric which cost $120 in total. But the labor was $180, which seems to be unbeatable in my area so I am very happy to have found my wonderful seamstress!

How exciting! Love the grey idea! ~lulu
Oh wow, looks fantastic Holly! That slipcover fits like a glove. My vote is for a greyish-blue with some serious distressing on the legs.
grey...
What a transformation, love it! I vote to paint the legs grey.
Paint them! No doubt about it. :) Lisa~ www.livingmybestlifeii-lisa.blogspot.com
I say paint em. Robin's egg blue or a lovely shade of gray. Awesome couch

Love the idea of painting them..! Can't wait to see it finished and in your house!! = )
Maybe I'm cautious....I'd leave it wood for awhile, then maybe paint it grey. I know it'll look fabulous no matter what! I love your furniture!
