Hey everyone!! First ever video post (whazzup!!).

Untitled from Holly Baker on Vimeo.

This insane French mirror immediately had me thinking "cote de texas!" It is HUGE and pictures really don't do it justice. I think it would be awesome to build a room around this, specially a contemporary white room!

If I had an empty corner this baby would have come home in heartbeat.

Lots of pretty linens...

Tons of cool things, like this mirrored old door to the old box car below it, caught our eyes.

What? You're shocked this feathered hair piece didn't come home with me??

That cabinet has my mind racing with ideas.

Rebecca, you foxy lady, you! Glad to see you are back on the blogging scene with such a hot new look.

I don't know how many more times I have to walk past this pair of victorian crystal sconces before my willpower gives out!! After a couple years of stalking them I may have to give in to the $300 price tags soon....

"I am too late for tea-time to take a photo"

These would be such a whimsical touch on a coffee table or side table!

I NEEDED THIS!!! But it was already sold...
Ok, I NEED THIS too!! a 8 foot harvest table converted to a coffee table. I just LOVE it!
Genius!!! Hanging old vent covers as art!
And of course, no treasure hunting excursion would be complete without a trip to HomeGoods... As soon as I walked in and saw these chairs I was smitten! If only I had room, and no kitchen chairs, and an actual, finished kitchen.
I forsee a REALLY fun project this summer once I gather some driftwood at the cabin!!

Can you believe that all I came home with was that frame and a blue crown jar??? I think I must be getting sick............
Well, I hope you enjoyed my first every attempt at video blogging! I promise I will try and improve on that front~
Toodles friends!

Making videos is SO hard, and you did great! I only share mine with very close family members because I always end up sounding so dumb :) Yours, however, was adorable. I hope you keep doing video posts! (Just some fyi on the technology front for when you're ready to make the switch - I have a "flip" camcorder and LOVE how easy it is to use!)

You must buy those sconces! They are fabulous and would look incredible in your home. Can't you talk them down? I have 3 pieces of furniture you would love and would love to know what I should do with them? Wish you lived in Utah and could take them or give some advice. Can I send photos? Will you look and advise?

My first time on your blog.

The video is great. Congrats on even figuring that out...you are much more tech savvy than many of us (uh me). Also, love the grates on the wall, the mirrored door, the sconce and much more! Thank you for sharing...we should exchange links!

That looks like a wonderful day, out with a friend nose deep in junk. What fun!

ya know, I've recently come to the realization that 99.9% of the time that I go Antiquing & Thrifting, I come home feeling so heartbroken due to the simple fact that I still live with my parents, which means I have no place to put all of the things that I see beautiful potential in. It's so terribly heartbreaking.

Maybe there was tooooo much great stuff that it was overwhelming, hence only the frame and jar? I love how you post ideas about things you see even if you don't buy them!

Read you all the time but haven't said HI until now. Great video, what you need to get is a FLIP camera...shots videos and then plugs right into your computer, easy peazy and fits into your purse! Got mine for Christmas and love it. Love those scones...need some!

HomeGoods is my drug of choice. I have to go at least once a month to get my "fix." My husband hates to go with me b/c I have to look at EVERY aisle to make sure I don't miss anything. By the way, I love your blog, and check it almost daily. I wish I lived in Canada so that I could buy some of your stuff. I haven't found anything like it here in Tennessee.

Awww thanks everyone! I am so glad you tolerated my first attempt~ "You like me! You really like me!" LOL

Tracey, I just use a 1.5 inch barrel iron on medium heat to get loose waves~ Really fast (and easy!).

I think we need to host a local shopping trip with all my Alberta gals in the very near future!!! Let me know if you want to participate and we will try and organize something for the beginning of Summer!
