I stumbled across two of these old built-ins in an old house being renovated down town. They were free so of course you really cannot beat a price like that! The only catch was the chipped orange and red paint... oh and the cabinet doors warped during the reno and no longer fit the bottom cupboard.
Some fresh paint, and a little wallpaper in the back went a long way, and a planer helped me fix the doors up in no time. I really love the unfinished edges because they tell the story of an old home and aren't too perfect.
They are perfect for our living room since the high ceilings really needed something to ground the room. So they currently flank either side of the sofa.
I also recently finished this coffee table and hope to have it up on WhiteBerry in the next day or two (along with some other fun items!).

Are you keeping the corner peices as your personal furniture, or are they going to wonder onto WhiteBerry, too?

Love the coffee table! We picked up a similar table via Craigslist for $10 and refinished it in a soft creamy white.
Those cabinets are awesome! I recently saw something similar. Corner cabinets but they were made with old wooden doors. They were gorgeous! And that room may be thirsting for sunshine with the brite white, but you have to admit the snow covered trees accent it quite beautifully! :) lol Always love your stuff. ♥
Gosh that view of your living room is just so refreshing! Such a calm and relaxing room to hang out in! Keep inspiring us with your great work!
Love it! I've always loved corner cabinets - had a great one in my previous home but had to get rid of it because it didn't fit in my new home...still sad!
I love the loop hardware. I love the book cases too! I hope you don't want to sell them Holly! They look great in your home!

#1 love the corner cabinets in that room! you're right, they really ground the whole setup.
#2 how on planet earth do you keep that white rug so clean with a husband, dogs and a baby?!?! is there a magical secret?
#3 how do you move all this furniture around? do you have to enlist the hubby's help before a photoshoot? howsabout on a regular day of painting in the garage?
i'm sure other inquiring minds would love to know too!
LOVE the corner pieces! Those look amazing! I don't know how you do it girl but you do it good!

You did a great job with these. They really help to ground the room, and add a little character and architectural detail to the space.
Where is the wallpaper from? I find so few places around here with great papers...
