Ever since she could point Wren has always been infatuated with the moon and stars. She would show us the moon in every book page it appeared, as we were out driving, in every movie or picture. So I wanted to give my girl a few stars of her own over her Birthday week.
It started with a bunch of Christmas decor sales I saw in the thrift stores just before the holidays. It struck me that tinsel strands are awfully fun, even outside of the holidays so I picked up a few bundles. They came in handy for some of my birthday decor, I set aside the ones with stars for Wren and the rest is patiently waiting for future crafts. Each 6 ft strand was $0.10, and I see they are even cheaper now that stores are trying to clear out their holiday merchandise! I also picked up some pearl garland (also originally for the Holidays) for a touch of glam.
The pom poms have been going strong for exactly 4 years now and we still love them! The glittery garland and pearls add just enough fun above her bed to keep it exciting for my newly 4 year old star gazer.
Doing her 'model face'. She loves to do what I call faux-to shoots with anything and everything and she insisted her new garland deserved one!
