Just popping in to wish everyone a big TGIF!!! I am getting so antsy to share our closet which we have practically been living in for the last few days as we finish painting the beadboard ceilings, walls and crown mouldings. The floors are all done and we are just about to add the baseboards which is a relatively fast and easy job, then comes the fun part: putting in hanging rods and using it!!!

Sean has a great tutorial on installing beadboard ceilings planned for next week, sharing his tips and tricks after doing it for the second time (check out our first experience installing it here). It is such an easy and cheap upgrade for any room, but it can be intimidating to figure how to match up the sheets so I think you will appreciate his learnings!
Now I am off to ladies night while Sean is running daddy daycare, but I will be back tomorrow.
Ciao Bellas!

Before getting to the 2nd paragraph I was going to ask if you could explain why beadboard is painted after installing on the ceiling, as opposed to just painting the sheets and then putting them up. I've always seen people paint it after putting up (even on walls), so I know there must be a really good, practical reason, and I was just hoping you'd enlighten me.

Thanks; and I can't wait to see the finished thing and read the tutorial post! Hope Ladies Night was a blast and Daddy/daughter time was just as awesome! :)

I found your blog a week or two ago, and I was so inspired and in love, that I went all the way back to your first post. Although our styles differ, I do love RED, you have inspired me to use a bit more white, and lighter colors in general. Your family is lovely. You've got a follower for life :)
