I want to thank you all again for all your suggestions for the bedroom! I have pulled a few things together and WOW! You were definitely right about the nightstands~
Before we get down to Masterbedroom business, I want to share a picture of Wren's future comforter that I mentioned last week. I got a lot of emails and comments asking about it thanks to the incredible sale price of $20, so here she is:
Cute, huh? I like that it has a masculine vibe to it so it will contrast well with a couple flowery pillows and the rest of Wren's room. Now it has to sit in the closet for little while longer until she is ready to move to her big girl bed someday.
As for the bedroom, I shuffled this mirror and dresser into place in an effort to balance out the window issue. We are adding a window in the kitchen when our reno happens so I am going to ask the contractor about adding one in here too eventually, but for now this makes a HUGE improvement! (yet again, all thanks to you!)
Now that it is done and in place I LOVE this dresser, but the day I picked it up we were worst enemies. I saw it pop up as I was browsing craigslist for only $15! When I called about it I knew that at that price it wouldn't last long so I said I would pick it up right away. It was halfway across town, and I never pick up anything without Sean and his truck but in this situation I thought my SUV would be fine. When I got there the owner and his son did all the heavy lifting but would not really shove it in the cargo area far enough. They were convinced that they would snag the carpet or something so they just half closed the trunk and used one of those bungee cords with hooks to hold the trunk down.
All was going well until I was about to merge onto the freeway when suddenly the trunk flies up, while I'm driving!!! My heart just about jumped out of my chest. So I pull over, at rush hour, on Friday to figure out what to do. When I get back there I see the cord is still attached, it just stretched or something so I go to unhook it when it snaps back and the hook slices my thumb open from the nail down to the knuckle. Great, now there is blood gushing all over this thing and my car and I am scrambling to get going again. The only thing I had on hand to wrap my thumb with is one of Wren's diaper wipes, which is stinging the hell out of me due to the fragrance and alcohol....
Finally someway, somehow I tie it all up and make it home. I refused to even look at the darn thing for a month I was so mad at it. But here we are 3 months later and I think we are close to being back on speaking terms again.

It looks beautiful! Really does balance out the window.
LOVE IT!!! The mirror looks amazing, great job. Was wondering what colour you used for your wall, I'm on paint #3 for our room and am soooooo frustrated....I swear my husband is going to move into the spare room soon ;-)
It looks so much more balanced now. Nice job!

I love it next to your bed...so sorry about your sliced thumb though, yikes!
Loving Wren's comforter. Darling!
And I've been meaning to tell you...just because I think it's kind of a fun coincidence...my younger sister is named Holly and my nickname is Wren. Great names! ;-)

Wow, your room is looking absolutely fantastic. Just stunning. That gray wall makes the room to die for. :-)
The mirror works REALLY well to balance out the window. Nice!
Holly, I'm running out of nice things to say. Or unique ways to say 'that looks fabulous'. :) I asked Santa (and his helpers) for Tagret gift cards so that I can make that shabby chic bedding mine. Love. Btw, the Christmas decor looks so beautiful. I'm regretting not taking hubby up on his offer of doing teal and blue this Christmas. I'm already looking forward to next year's decorating.
As for Wren's big girl bed blanket... Oh. My. Goodness. I will be searching high and low for that for our little man's room... does it have a style name?
The new nightstands are fabulous! I really think they were the missing key! I can't wait to see the new loveseat - it will be divine. As always - great job!
This looks Fabulous! And so luxurious! The mirror is perfect and I love the color of it. Another job well done. I wish I could keep my nightstands so tidy. Mine are covered in books, magazines and the random Transformer or Polly Pocket.......
It looks incredible! The mirror balances the window so WELL.
My two cents though? I desperately want to go find some kind of old pearly or silver or gem broach and attach it to the center of your dark round UO pillow! I think it would look amazing if you found something like that and stuck it on there. :)
Holly- I found it! I am too ecstatic for words! What a find....
I seriously check your site everyday! I love how you paint your furniture... Thank you for all your tips!!!
Have a Merry Christmas with your family!!

Holly,
Your bedroom looks absolutely lovely!! Not that I would expect anything less-- :)

Hi Holly! You may have mentioned this elsewhere on your site, but I've been searching for that EXACT color charcoal that you have in your bedroom. Would you mind sharing what color and brand of paint you used? Thanks!

Looks great.
I have been reading your blog for well over a year and I have never left a comment, but your charcoal wall has inspired me to do so. I think that your bedroom is absolutely gorgeous! I know you have since posted that you do not like it and are going to repaint it. I just wanted to let you know that it has inspired me to do a similar color palette in my own master bedroom. I am not usually drawn to cool colors, but have since changed my mind since viewing this room. Would you mind sharing with the rest of us exactly what color of paint and the brand you used for the feature wall?
Thanks!
Anyone ever find out the fab beddings' name?
Love you Holly - XOXO
Please comment the charcoal paint color on your walls.
Thanks.
