Say it, don't spray it

Today Wren is off at her Grandma's house along with her two nannys (aka the dogs) so that we can finally spray the banister and railings. Yes, we should have done it looooong before the floors were installed, but we were planning on completely replacing the railings down the line. After much debate and a close look at the budget we have decided that sprucing the existing railing up properly is the best plan of attack. Even if we do replace them later at least they will not be an eyesore for now, and since they are the first thing you see when you walk in the door I just couldn't leave it any longer.

Hopefully we will have a lovely after to share tomorrow, but here is what we are up against today (this picture is from the day we moved in. Yes, we have removed that nasty bamboo wallpaper):
