Why didn't I think of that?

While half heartedly cleaning floors, washing slipcovers and watching Kathie-lee and Hoda this morning I was stopped dead in my tracks by the brilliance of a product they were discussing. In particular it was a new candle manufacturer by the name of Kringle Candles. What's so great about these candles you ask? No matter the scent, size or style they are all white! And you know my love affair with candles...


Genius right? I can't tell you how many times have I bypassed delicious apple scents due to the bright red wax, or my beloved pumpkin spice with it's usual bright orange. No longer will I feel restricted by color.

As I fill my cart with all sorts of yummy, rarely purchased scents I know I will be asking myself all night how come I didn't think of that?

    oh what a great idea! i'm with you on white candles. although i love color in my life. i love drippy, white candles. they're so romantic!

    I agree with you. I love apple cinnamon or pumpkin cinnamon candles, but don't like the red or orange color you are always stuck with. Thanks for passing the word on to us!

    That is genius!!! I have done the same thing.. skipping on my favorite scents because the color clashes. I will have to do some shopping! Thank you for the info!!:)))

    I hear you on passing on the bright red candy scented apple candles.......it just doesnt fit in! Yay for colorless yet scented candles!

    Oh, how funny, I saw the same segment on The Today Show and listened to Kathie Lee go on about knowing the family. Then I noticed that the candle company name, Kringle Candles was trending as a popular search on my MSN front page. I checked out the website and chuckled because it now says there may be slight delays in shipping due to demands. How great for the 19 yr. old kid that started the company with (I'm sure the guidance and) help of his, very experienced in the candle business, father!

    Yes, you should've thought of it, I'm sure it's going to be very $$ successful, but then you'd be too busy to paint!.

    I used to make yummy smelling soy candles. I made them with their natural color...simply because adding the dye was annoying and an extra step I didn't want to take. I'm all for the "get it done as fast as possible so you can get down to smelling" kind of person...:) So I had all cream colored candles. And you know what? They sold BETTER than my original colored ones. Things that make you go "hmmmmm"...;)

    I've skipped on candles because of the color too! Will you let us know how these smell? I'm always afraid of too sweet or fake-smelling candles.

    I know exactly what you mean, I've restricted myself to vanilla or unscented for years lol. What a great idea. Although, it would make it harder to distinguish what scent is what if you peel the labels off!

    I'm the same way...I've passed up many great smelling candles because the color doesn't "go" with my decor. Why didn't we think of that! Glad someone did!

    Thanks for the intro to these. Now, I want to know why someone doesn't make a really good (not the cheap, sooty ones) white candles that are unscented. I have a hard time finding white unscented pillars to use on my dining table.
