Driftwood Dresser

What is it with me and driftwood? I am SOOO in love with the colors and soft texture... it truly is my biggest inspiration.
And since my dining room dresser walked off last week I did up another one. But I know this one is only temporary, it is just holding me over until a REALLY big one comes my way.

But I have to love something 100% or it doesn't come into this house, so a temporary fix could very well turn into a life long love affair.

Of course I forgot a before, but you've seen a million of these ugly dressers if you've seen one.
Photobucket I know brass hardware makes some people cringe, but I just think you need to find the right mix. Gold and blue, yellow and grey, they are always beautiful together so it felt good. Plus they kind of look like crowns from a distance to me.

I wanted to still see the wood grain through the surface, but just a little. Like looking at pebbles at the bottom of a muddy river.

yes, it feels right at home in here. And it is one of those pieces that probably had just a little extra love.

  3. It's lovely! Is the dresser actually made out of driftwood or is that more of a 'style'? I feel silly asking but I'm really not sure...

Regardless of what it is, it's gorgeous.
