Obviously, my plate is usually full. OK, overflowing is probably a much more accurate statement! So once I have cleared a few items off, perhaps like the laundry room, I plan on tackling the mysterious upstairs bedroom that has yet to be debuted here In The Fun Lane. We have finished all the renovations in there, but it has steadly become filled with random bits of furniture, TONS of clothes and general chaos.

We have had the pleasure of entertaining approximately 0 house guests in our 4 years of home ownership. When you consider how much blogging, emailing and other work I do on my laptop randomly just propped up on the couch most days it only makes sense to convert the guest room to a useable work space for me. A spot to gather my hundreds and hundreds of magazines, books and other sources of inspiration. A spot to organize receipts and bills. And of course, a spot to relax and enjoy being creative.

Since we are a little ways away from starting this project I am still collecting ideas, deciding on what direction I want to take it in. But since it is primarily a decorating project you know I will be gathering stuff on my travels~

Here are some of the first images that stand out to me:

I've just posted on my art studio. Like your room, it's still a work in progress but the dark brown exposed brick has been painted white and the floors a french grey. Here's the link if you'd like to take a peek:

I don't have an office space currently. I retired a couple of years ago so my office is my living room/comfy sofa. But, I just sent my daughter 3 boxes of office supplies, baskets, etc. for her new office at her new job. You just have to look at Etsy! The vintage office supplies that you can find are just fabulous. I think you might like a few for yourself!! Love your blog by the way! xoxo

Now, I am going to have to convert one of the other rooms in our house to my office. (My project next week!)

This blog has a shot of my space at work:

Have fun creating your space.. with two little girls taking our bedrooms, my little spot is on the main floor, where I can see what they are up to! xo

I'm taking my work space/dressing room in a very similar direction of these photos ..however, it's the one room in the house I keep procrastinating on ...and I use it daily. I think I want it to be fabulous and I'm a bit afraid it won't be. lol.

I love my blogging space - light and airy with a beach feel (we are 6 minutes' walk away from the beach). You can see it here:

I am either in my partially finished basement, or on my couch in the family room, so no where special! However I would love to work from the chair in the last photo you posted!

Hi Holley,
I'm working on my sewing and work room right now. The problem is I cannot keep it neat like those in the photos!

When I get it finished I'll be sure and post it, that is, if it is presentable.

hugs
Sissie

I have a scrapbook room that also works as a craft room. The compute week keep in the school room. So I end up doing some things in there. Thankfully that are not to far apart.

These photos are not on my blog but on scrapbbok.com. I have a gallery there form before I started blogging. Hmmm maby i should do a post on my space. It has changed since these photos and i would love to repaint the walls a more soothing color.

I have an upstairs room in my house that I recently decided to convert to an office space as well. It is still in the "finishing stages" so it is not done yet, but the project has been a lot of fun (and work) so far!

I have some before and after photos on my blog here: www.completelycharming.blogspot.com

I can't wait to see what you do with your space!

My blogspace is a constant work in progress. I'll warn you - I adore color! Even though we have very different styles - I still have a huge appreciation for the dreamy whites you live among :)

Here is my blogspace link:

This link will also make you proud! As well as color - I adore gray - so I redid an ugly armoire for my son's room - it's fabulous - you will like it I believe :)

Mine space is just a simple hutch. I still need to paint it, but I decorate it when the inspiration strikes and the clutter builds up. I love the corkboard in the back.

The idea of an extra room to your room makes me a little jealous. Have fun, love all the pictures you posted, I would die for any one of those rooms.
Can't wait to see pictures of what you end up doing.

This is where I blog usually http://monkeygrasshill.blogspot.com/search/label/organization

But now that the weather is nicer I'll be taking it outside on my laptop. I actually have a little office, but right now I can't get in there because it's piled high with chairs chandeliers and jewelry supplies.

Man those are some swoonworthy spaces. This is my little "escape"...

http://thestamfordwife.blogspot.com/2009/02/house-progress-my-office-den.html

Although, now it's full of toys too as it doubles as a little play room. Not much of an escape anymore. lol
